Job summary

National Life Group is offering a Digital & AI Experience Internship in Montpelier, VT. The internship runs for 10 weeks (June 1–August 6) with onsite work four days per week and a formal orientation.

The role provides hands-on experience solving real business problems using AI-assisted tools, with coaching from the Digital Experience team. The program highlights include collaboration across departments, mentorship, and a final presentation summarizing solutions and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s student with anticipated 2028 graduation and strong communications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work across teams and manage priorities.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Comfort with feedback and adapting approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations teams to identify problems and AI opportunities.
• Conduct stakeholder and user discovery to understand needs and workflows.
• Develop and validate clear problem statements before recommending solutions.
• Build, test, and refine AI-assisted tools on internal platforms.
• Gather user feedback and iterate solutions based on real-world use.
• Track adoption and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create simple user guides and hand off to business owners.
• Challenge requests that miss underlying problems with sound judgment.
• Participate in team standups, planning, and sessions.
• Present an end-of-summer summary of outcomes and lessons learned.
