Job summary

PingWind, Inc. in Rockville, MD seeks an AI DevOps Engineer focused on AI/ML to support AHRQ’s strategy.

You will ensure quality and reliability of applications, develop reusable code, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver software and infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in IT or Computer Science and 10+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering, deployment, security, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering, deployment, and monitoring
• Experience with AI/ML models, generative AI, and large language models
• Knowledge of AI solution architecture and systems engineering
• Prototyping, testing, and evaluating AI/ML capabilities
• Ability to integrate AI/ML within cloud, application, and infrastructure environments
• Focus on responsible AI, information security, and privacy
• Experience with version control and build systems
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and DevOps practices
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Shell, Bash)
• Experience with web technologies and services (REST, OAuth 2, SSL)
• Experience with Linux system administration and daemons
• Experience with incident management and cross-team collaboration
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

• Create and support CI pipelines for AI/DevOps workflows
• Manage server and network configuration and maintenance in the client environment
• Collaborate with groups to manage systems: troubleshooting, DNS, VM patches, deployment
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements
• Develop and deliver infrastructure and applications with Software Architect
• Coordinate with Developers/DBAs during development and maintenance
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
• Develop reusable code to automate processes
• Write clean, scalable code following best practices
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure and app performance
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Document technical specifications and processes
• Stay current with emerging tech and industry trends
• Provide cross-training and mentorship on standards
