Job summary

Atkore seeks an AI DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the AI infrastructure across its Mokena or Dallas offices. You’ll enable scalable, secure AI agent development and integration with ERP, MES, and manufacturing systems, while collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity teams.

You’ll drive CI/CD, IaC, MLOps, and platform reliability, ensuring alignment with Atkore IT standards and governance. A strong background in cloud engineering and security is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Hands-on with Azure or public cloud platforms; networking, compute, and identity services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security principles and secure API design.
• Familiarity with data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery processes.
• Experience integrating AI platforms with ERP/MES or manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure for AI workloads.
• Engineer scalable, resilient environments for AI agents, model serving, and experimentation.
• Design and manage APIs and microservices for secure data access.
• Integrate AI infrastructure with data lakes, analytics environments, and business systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation for reliability.
• Establish MLOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure AI infrastructure complies with security, privacy, and data governance standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams on identity, access management, and auditability.
• Align AI platform design with enterprise standards; enable AI use cases across operations.
