Job summary

Diamondback Energy is building a new AI team and seeks an AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and autonomous workflows across Azure, Snowflake, and Claude. You will prototype, productionize, and integrate models and agents while collaborating with data science, IT, and business stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of production AI/software experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience building and shipping software, data, or AI/ML applications in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience writing tested, maintainable code.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one cloud data platform (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
• Hands-on exposure to building applications with large language models or generative AI APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI)
• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git/GitHub), testing, CI/CD, design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Self-directed learning and ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and autonomous/multi-agent workflows using LLMs
• Build and maintain data pipelines connecting Snowflake and Azure Databricks to AI/ML workflows
• Develop and orchestrate agentic systems using Claude Agent SDK and Azure AI Foundry Agent Service
• Build evaluation harnesses and testing frameworks to measure model and agent quality, reliability, and safety
• Rapidly prototype and evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks and recommend adoption where valuable
• Partner with data science, data engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to translate needs into production-ready solutions
• Support responsible AI practices, including data privacy, access control, and governance
