Job summary

Evolv Technology seeks a Director of Product, AI to lead AI and research-driven product decisions in safety-critical detection and computer vision. You will own data strategy, evaluation metrics, field trials, and deployment considerations, shaping roadmap and release readiness with AI engineering and legal/compliance to ensure accurate, defensible performance claims.

The role centers on translating complex AI concepts into customer-facing workflows, balancing performance, latency, and cost

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management for AI/ML/CV products.
• Experience bringing AI or computer vision systems to production.
• Understanding of model evaluation, data pipelines, and trade-offs.
• Experience defining data collection, annotation, and validation standards.
• Experience designing field trials and using data for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own AI detection product leadership and roadmap.
• Define data collection strategy and annotation standards.
• Partner with AI engineering on training methodology and validation.
• Define model evaluation metrics and release readiness criteria.
• Design and run field trials with customers; translate results into product decisions.
• Collaborate with design, product, and legal/compliance on external messaging.
