AXIS Capital is seeking a Data Science & AI Delivery Lead to drive day‑to‑day AI projects, lead a growing team of data scientists and engineers, and ensure high‑quality, timely delivery across strategic use cases. You will work hands‑on in Python, review designs, and guide architecture while aligning with business goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with technology and program offices, and enabling AI delivery at scale within AXIS’s data-driven strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions from concept to production.
• Strong Python and core data science libraries knowledge.
• Hands-on Databricks experience including MLflow.
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, LLMs, and vector search.
• Solid MLOps understanding with CI/CD for models and monitoring.
• Cloud experience on Azure including OpenAI, ML, and Azure AI Search.
• Experience leading technical delivery teams and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day leadership of AI delivery workstreams, ensuring priorities and unblockages.
• Direct design, build, test, and deployment of AI solutions across multiple projects.
• Provide technical guidance on model selection, architecture, and evaluation.
• Review code and contribute hands-on in Python during critical phases.
• Support Generative AI delivery, including RAG architectures and Azure integration.
• Ensure robust MLOps with versioning, testing and deployment pipelines.
