Job summary

Abaka AI is hiring a Business Development Associate to join our growing team and help expand Abaka AI’s customer base. This is an early-career, full-cycle sales role for someone who wants to build strong commercial judgment and grow into an independent business development professional.

From day one, you will own your leads from initial outreach through qualification, discovery, solution development, negotiation, and close.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in business development or related customer-facing role
• Experience with B2B SaaS, technology, AI data services is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to manage multiple prospects, follow-ups, and pipeline

Responsibilities

• Own opportunities from prospecting through qualification, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and close
• Identify prospective customers across AI, technology, and other relevant industries
• Outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, email, events, referrals, and other channels
• Lead and participate in customer meetings to understand requirements and priorities
• Coordinate with internal teams to design solutions for prospective customers
• Prepare proposals, pricing materials, and contracts with guidance from mentors
• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and pipeline activities
• Build long-term relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business
