Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Data Center Network Engineer to support daily operations of high-performance networking infrastructure within our AI lab(s) and data center environments. This role focuses on rack-level deployment, cabling, switch configuration support, and troubleshooting connectivity for GPU clusters and storage systems.

The position requires hands-on experience with 100GbE networks, spine-leaf fabrics, and Linux command-line tools.

Qualifications

BS degree preferred in a technical field.
5+ years in data center/network infrastructure.
Strong TCP/IP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 concepts understanding.
Experience with Cisco/Arista switches and 100GbE+ hardware.
Familiarity with Spine-Leaf architectures and GPU Networking is a plus.

Responsibilities

Data Center Network Deployment: Rack, stack, cable, label, and commission high-speed Ethernet switches (10/25/100/200/400GbE).
Fiber & high-speed connectivity: Install and validate fiber and high-speed interconnects.
Switch Configuration: Configure ports, VLANs, and link aggregation according to standards.
Spine-Leaf Network Deployment: Support deployment and troubleshooting of spine-leaf fabrics.
GPU & Server Connectivity: Ensure connectivity for GPU servers and compute nodes.
Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues across Layer 1–3, escalate when needed.
Performance & Link Validation: Run tests to validate links and detect anomalies.
Topology & Documentation: Maintain rack layouts, port mappings, and inventory.
