Job summary

Crux, Inc. is building a premier AI infrastructure company in the U.S. We seek a senior engineer to own the mechanical, electrical, and controls systems behind Crux’s TPU fleet, translating TPU requirements into facility standards and leading end-to-end design and commissioning.

You will write the design standards for future deployments, review third-party designs for AI-readiness, and drive hardware selection, testing, and field execution across sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical/electrical engineering for data centers or critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ASHRAE standards and BMS/EPMS systems.
• Owner-side design review experience holding engineers and vendors accountable.

Responsibilities

• Own the facility basis of design for TPU deployments and related power and cooling systems.
• Translate TPU pod requirements into rack, row, and room-level facility specs.
• Review third-party designs for AI-readiness against Crux requirements and assess gaps with cost implications.
• Lead equipment selection and vendor evaluation for major MEP gear with testing and procurement support.
• Own commissioning from the owner’s side, review CX plans and drive issue resolution.
• Support operating sites as escalation engineer for facility events and feed lessons back into design standards.
