Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking an AI Data Center Infrastructure Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to turn cluster architecture into deployment-ready infrastructure designs. You will define rack layouts, BOMs, power needs, and port/cable mappings for compute, network, and storage, while adapting designs to constraints and automating workflows.

You will collaborate across hardware, networking, software, and data center operations to ensure scalable, reliable deployments and continuous improvement of design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of infra engineering, data center design, or similar.
• Experience with rack elevations, layouts, BOMs, port/cable maps.
• Understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware integration.
• Familiarity with data center power, cooling, space, and cabling constraints.
• Ability to automate workflows with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate changing requirements into clear designs.
• Clear written and verbal communication across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate architectures and requirements into deployment-ready designs.
• Create rack elevations, layouts, BOMs, power allocations, maps.
• Adapt reference designs to space, power, cooling, and logistics constraints.
• Validate integrated compute, storage, network, power, and cabling.
• Evaluate trade-offs for performance, reliability, cost, and deployability.
• Collaborate with systems, network, hardware, manufacturing, and ops teams.
• Lead readiness reviews and identify risks before installation.
• Resolve deployment issues and document approved design changes.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and reuse lessons learned.
• Develop scripts/tools to automate design generation and checks.
• Improve templates and processes for repeatable deployments.
