Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking an AI Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to translate cluster architectures into deployment-ready designs in Sunnyvale, CA. You will own the transition from high-level design to real-world implementation, including rack layouts, BOMs, power allocations, port maps, and cable mappings for compute, storage, and networking.

You will adapt designs to site constraints, validate the integrated system, and help build automation tools to speed deployments at scale,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1+ years of infrastructure engineering, data center design, systems integration or hardware deployment experience.
• Experience creating rack elevations, equipment layouts, BOMs, port maps, or cable maps.
• Practical understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware and physical integration.
• Familiarity with data center power, cooling, space, cabling and serviceability constraints.
• Experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar to automate workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to turn incomplete or changing requirements into clear designs.
• Clear written and verbal communication across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Translate cluster architectures into deployment-ready infrastructure designs.
• Produce rack elevations, layouts, BOMs, power allocations, port maps and cable maps.
• Adapt reference designs to site constraints involving space, power, cooling, network, logistics and hardware availability.
• Validate compute, storage, networking, power and cabling as an integrated system.
• Evaluate design trade-offs balancing performance, reliability, scalability, cost, serviceability and schedule.
• Partner with systems, network, hardware, manufacturing, supply-chain and data center ops teams.
• Participate in design and deployment readiness reviews before installation.
• Support deployment teams by resolving physical integration issues and documenting changes.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and capture lessons learned for future designs.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate design generation, BOM creation, cable mapping and checks.
• Improve templates, standards, documentation and processes for repeatable deployments.
