Job summary

Qualifications

• MS in computer science or related field required, with minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning.
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity basics (file and network traffic analysis).

Responsibilities

• Design reproducible pipelines for data acquisition, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, packaging, and deployment.
• Contribute to requirements definition, design, and software development for projects as directed by PI or software lead.
• Benchmark AI/ML systems against performance metrics and robustness; define measures of success for deployment-ready systems.
• Visualize and explain complex data and model results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support ORNL’s mission and promote a respectful, inclusive workplace.
