Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. seeks an AI Systems & Solutions Engineer for the Oak Ridge Enrichment Operations site in Tennessee. You will support enterprise-level digital engineering, modernization, and analytics initiatives, developing open-source AI tools and maintaining production AI stacks.

The role involves ML-driven solutions, data integration, and secure capabilities for high‑value missions. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and automation teams to deliver scalable AI,

Qualifications

BS/MS in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

Architect and maintain open-source AI/ML tools and pipelines.
Build AI stacks using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and ML frameworks.
Design AI/ML solutions for manufacturing optimization and engineering workflows.
Integrate AI systems with digital thread/twin environments and MES/SCADA.
Develop APIs and microservices for model orchestration and data ingestion.
Implement CI/CD workflows for AI workloads.
Create end-to-end pipelines for sensor/IoT data including anomaly detection.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on deployable AI.
Produce documentation and model explainability summaries.
Mentor junior engineers on AI/ML development.
