Spring Health, a global mental health company, is seeking an AI Interaction Designer to craft empathetic, clinically valid AI experiences. You will shape language, tone, and interaction flows for user-facing AI agents to drive meaningful behavior change and internal motivation.

As part of the Design Systems team in a hybrid New York City role, you will write, test, and refine conversational copy, collaborate with Clinical and Product teams, and present conversational architecture and AI insights

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing and editing skills with capability to craft tone, clarity, and emotional nuance.
• Experience in Conversation Design, Content Design, UX Writing, Copywriting, or related discipline with a portfolio.
• Strong communication and executive presence to articulate AI/design concepts to leadership.
• Curiosity and collaborative mindset; actively using AI as a partner to improve workflows.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and clinical experts.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end human-AI interactions across web and mobile, considering AI dialogue and overall product context.
• Write, test, and refine conversational copy and prompts to make distressed users feel seen and heard.
• Partner with Clinical and Product teams to drive clinically valid behavior change and internal motivation.
• Define conversational parameters and handle edge cases, hallucinations, or ambiguous user intent gracefully.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement prompt versioning and evaluate conversational quality.
• Present conversational architecture, AI performance insights, and product vision to executives.
