SpaceXAI is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead a team of technicians and supervisors responsible for AI compute infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, oversee hardware lifecycles, and coordinate with AI specialists and vendors to scale capabilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, proactive maintenance, and sustainable operations to support cutting-edge workloads. Occasional travel to data centers may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or similar critical environments.
• 3+ years managing technical teams.
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-responsibility settings.
• Solid expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Operations: Manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments to ensure 99.999% uptime for SpaceXAI's AI compute systems.
• Guide Your Team: Lead and develop a team of Data Center Operations Technicians through training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Streamline Processes: Take charge of hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory management, refining procedures to ensure precision and consistency.
• Connect Key Players: Coordinate between technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors to integrate new technology and expand capacity seamlessly.
• Drive Sustainable Solutions: Champion energy-efficient practices and sustainability efforts, optimizing resources for AI workloads.
• Measure Success: Track uptime, power efficiency, and issue resolution times to improve site performance.
• Handle Emergencies: Lead the team through urgent situations with clear direction.
• Optimize Operations: Build and refine processes—preventative maintenance with vendors and Jira ticket workflows.
• Support Expansion: Standardize best practices across sites to support growth.
