Lambda is seeking a Compute Software Engineer to advance our AI cloud infrastructure. You will design and maintain software for bare-metal and VM compute infrastructure, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration across multiple offices with a designated WFH day on Tuesday. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Go or Python production environments, plus experience with hardware management, Linux debugging, and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

3+ years of production experience with Go or Python.
Experience with bare metal or virtualization hardware management.
Proficient in Linux debugging at OS, hardware, and networking layers.
Strong communication across software, infrastructure, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain software for GPU/CPU compute infrastructure with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement and develop services for baremetal and VM instancing.
Develop distributed systems for managing and orchestrating compute resources across various SKU’s.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a production and development environment.
On-call and incident ownership
Collaboration across multiple teams and drive ambiguity in requirements or solutions on RFC’s.
