Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cloud backend team in the AI Detection and Response group. You will guide provisioning and orchestration systems, ensuring seamless onboarding of customers and scalable configuration across services.

This player-coach role blends people leadership with hands-on coding, driving architectural decisions, pair programming when needed, and building high‑performing systems that protect organizations worldwide from AI‑based threats.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development for enterprise cloud products.
• 3+ years as an engineering manager leading backend teams.
• Strong hands-on coding ability and production-grade coding.
• Experience building microservices in cloud-native environments at scale.
• Experience with cloud-native languages: Go, Python, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a backend engineering team building cloud-native provisioning services.
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for customer lifecycle management.
• Drive architecture for scalable, reliable, secure distributed systems.
• Contribute code as needed and unblock critical deliverables.
• Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD, and runbooks.
• Manage capacity, sprint planning, and delivery commitments.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard top engineering talent.
• Collaborate with product and other teams across CrowdStrike.
