Job summary

Horizon Air internship program in SeaTac, WA offers a 12-week, full-time summer experience. Interns join teams across Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air, work on visible projects, and network with fellow employees and company leaders.

The 2027 program runs over two timelines to align with different academic calendars, and interns receive unlimited standby travel benefits during the internship. relocation may be required for some candidates.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree with a focus in business, information systems, computer science, data science, or a related area.
• Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, business transformation, innovation, technology, or process improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn new technical and business concepts, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt in a changing environment.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Supports the discovery, development, testing, and improvement of AI agents, automation solutions, and other business transformation use cases that address Horizon business needs.
• Partners with employees and leaders across Horizon divisions to understand business processes, gather and document requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and help define practical solutions.
• Helps advance assigned use cases and transformation initiatives by coordinating next steps, tracking progress, communicating updates, and supporting projects through completion.
• Develops training decks, demonstrations, and adoption resources that help employees understand and use AI tools and new solutions.Collaborates with developers, technical teams, and business partners while building knowledge of Horizon operations, airline processes, and emerging technology.
