Job summary

Horizon Air is seeking talented and enthusiastic students for a 12-week summer 2027 internship located in SeaTac, WA. Join an innovative, collaborative HR team and work on projects that support our business, community and cultural growth.

Relocation may be required for the duration of the internship. Earn practical HR experience, contribute to key projects, and access valuable networking and internship events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Learn and immerse yourself in current HR systems and processes that support our people and business.
• Partner with the HR team to assist business groups with day-to-day support needs.
• Assist the HR team with strategic projects, initiatives, and process improvement.
• Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices and ensure consistency across HR functions.
• Assist in reviewing HR/company policies for accuracy, compliance, and clarity; propose updates as needed.
• Create clear documentation and visual aids to support process changes and training efforts.
• Support other HR projects as needed.
