Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the AI Build team to work with frontier AI companies on payments, billing, and monetization infrastructure. You will own complex proof-of-concept engagements from scoping to activation, collaborating with customers to design architectures and prototype solutions that evolve Stripe’s product roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical delivery or related field.
• Proven ability to own complex engagements from discovery through activation.
• Experience in ambiguous, 0→1 environments with new patterns.
• Strong API, integration, and data-flow understanding; distinguish gaps.
• Ability to prototype rapidly with AI coding tools.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby; learning agility.
• Ability to influence across sales, product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic POCs end to end from initial commitment through activation.
• Build with customers by prototyping solutions and understanding workflows.
• Design across Stripe to span multiple products and determine integration needs.
• Close 0→1 gaps by addressing blockers and evolving requirements.
• Influence the product roadmap by translating customer needs into requirements.
• Lead cross-functionally with AI account teams, architects, and post-sales resources.
• Create repeatable patterns and reference architectures from successful engagements.
• Stay aligned with the AI frontier and emerging industry developments.
