Job summary

Stripe’s AI Build team is seeking a Solutions Engineer who can own end-to-end proof-of-concept engagements with frontier AI companies. You’ll design, prototype, and align across product, engineering, and post-sales resources to move opportunities into adoption.

You’ll work directly with AI-focused customers on payments, billing, and monetization infrastructure, translating complex needs into actionable product requirements and reusable patterns that influence Stripe’s roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery or related field.
• Experience owning complex engagements from discovery through activation.
• Proven ability in ambiguous 0-1 environments where standard patterns do not yet exist.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, application architecture, and data flows.
• Ability to prototype rapidly using modern AI coding harnesses and development tools.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic POCs end to end: Sell, scope, and lead engagements from initial commitment through activation.
• Build with customers: Work with engineers and technical leaders to understand workflows, prototype solutions, and pave paths to production.
• Design across Stripe: Create solutions spanning multiple Stripe products and determine blockers requiring configuration, integration work, or core changes.
• Close 0-1 gaps: Navigate incomplete products and evolving requirements while balancing outcomes with reusable solutions.
• Influence the roadmap: Translate customer needs into product requirements and partner with teams to shape Stripe’s frontier products.
• Lead cross-functionally: Coordinate AI account teams, Solutions Architects, product and engineering, and post-sales resources.
• Create repeatable patterns: Turn customer work into reusable prototypes, architecture diagrams, and implementation playbooks.
• Stay close to the AI frontier: Keep pace with AI-native company practices and industry developments.
