Job summary

University of New Hampshire is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA) within the MCBS department. The ideal candidate will develop and apply AI/ML methods to advance biochemistry and biomedical science, focusing on protein structure, modeling, multi-omics, systems biology, and drug discovery.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with strong research record in AI/ML for biochemistry/biomedical science.
• Evidence of ability to build independent, externally funded programs.
• Evidence of potential for undergraduate/graduate teaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program at the AI/biochemistry interface.
• Develop computational approaches for protein modeling, molecular interactions, and multi-omics.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and pursue federal and other funding.
• Mentor students and foster collaborations across UNH departments and external partners.
• Develop AI/ML–integrated curricula and contribute to teaching in biochemistry and life sciences.
