Job summary

Skyworks Cedar Rapids Design Center is seeking a motivated student for the AI Automation & Software Developer Co-op (Winter/Spring 2027). You will work with a mentor and grow skills on tools to help engineers design the next generation of cellular phones.

Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams, developing new workflows, and deploying AI to assist circuit design and verification. On-site in Cedar Rapids, IA, January–June 2027, with pay ranges for engineering interns

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a BS, MS or PhD program.
Background in software development.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, UNIX, Python, VSCode, AI tools.

Responsibilities

Learn, evaluate and utilize AI tools to write code more efficiently.
Communicate with engineering teams to discover inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Create new and/or evaluate existing software solutions to develop workflows removing inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Work with design engineers to determine how AI can be deployed to help in their work.
Support existing workflows by adding requested features and fixing bugs.
Create training documentation and train engineers to use new workflows.
Display a positive, can-do attitude.
Must have ability to complete Co-op term prior to graduation.
