Skyworks Solutions, Inc. seeks an AI Automation & Software Developer Co-op for Winter/Spring 2027 in Cedar Rapids.

You will learn to apply AI tools to streamline coding, collaborate with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, and build workflows that improve efficiency across projects. The role requires enrollment in a BS/MS/PhD program and a background in software development, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Available to work onsite in Cedar Rapids January–June 2027.
Must be currently enrolled in a BS, MS or PhD program.
Background in software development.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, UNIX, Python, VSCode, AI tools.

Responsibilities

Learn, evaluate and utilize AI tools to write code more efficiently.
Communicate with engineering teams to discover inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Create new and/or evaluate existing software solutions to develop workflows removing inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Work with design engineers to determine how AI can be deployed to help in their work.
Support existing workflows by adding requested features and fixing bugs.
Create training documentation and train engineers to use new workflows.
Display a positive, can-do attitude.
Must have ability to complete Co-op term prior to graduation.
