Apptegy in Boston, MA is hiring an AI Automation Engineer who builds durable, fast-moving solutions to boost operational efficiency across finance and operations. You’ll design AI-powered workflows, integrate NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other systems, and partner with process owners to map how work happens today.

This role blends engineering with business operations; you’ll quantify impact, publish reusable patterns, and help teams adopt automation company-wide.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in a technical, operations, or automation-focused role.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language; experience with APIs, webhooks, and data flows.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling such as Claude/Claude Code, Cursor, agent frameworks, MCP, or N8N.
• Depth in at least one enterprise business system and its data model.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Builder mindset: creative, curious, and eager to experiment with new technologies to drive efficiency.
• Excellent communication across multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Find the work by mapping current processes with owners, including exceptions and workarounds.
• Size it before you build it by defining metrics and expected results up front.
• Build and automate smart workflows using AI agents, API integrations, SQL and Python.
• Own the connective layer by moving data between NetSuite, Salesforce, DealHub, Workday, Greenhouse, Snowflake via APIs and webhooks.
• Publish shared primitives and maintain the automation inventory.
