Job summary

The Momba Group is seeking an experienced AI Automation Engineer to help build and deploy practical AI and automation solutions that drive measurable business value. This role is hands-on, collaborating with business and technology partners to design, develop, test, and implement AI-powered workflows.

You will create reusable assets, integrate systems, and ensure production readiness across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in application development, automation, workflow development, systems integration, low-code/no-code development, or related tech roles.
  • Experience building business applications, workflow automations, integrations, scripts, dashboards, forms, approval processes, or productivity solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, data services, workflow platforms, and automation technologies.
  • Understanding of AI, generative AI, automation concepts, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, and business process improvement.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, information security, data privacy, compliance, monitoring, and operational support considerations.
  • Ability to support projects from concept and prototype through implementation and production deployment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft technologies including: Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, AI Builder
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), document intelligence, process automation, and AI-enabled business solutions is preferred.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement AI and automation solutions.
  • Build prototypes, proofs of concept, pilot solutions, and production-ready applications that address business needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and translate ideas into practical solutions.
  • Develop workflow automations, integrations, APIs, forms, applications, dashboards, and productivity solutions.
  • Create reusable assets including workflow templates, automation patterns, prompt libraries, connectors, scripts, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, data, governance, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
  • Support solution delivery through the full lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve implementation challenges, and optimize existing solutions.
  • Assist with solution documentation, knowledge transfer, support procedures, and operational handoff activities.
  • Promote best practices related to AI governance, security, data privacy, responsible AI, and automation standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, demonstrations, training, and support to help teams successfully adopt AI and automation tools.
  • Track solution performance, adoption, business outcomes, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

The Momba Group is assisting a client seeking an experienced AI Automation Engineer to help build and deploy practical AI and automation solutions that drive measurable business value. This role is focused on hands-on solution delivery, working closely with business and technology partners to design, develop, test, and implement AI-powered and workflow automation solutions.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving business problems through technology, building prototypes and production-ready solutions, creating reusable assets, and helping organizations adopt AI and automation capabilities at scale.

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Design, configure, develop, test, and implement AI and automation solutions using approved platforms and technologies.
  • Build prototypes, proofs of concept, pilot solutions, and production-ready applications that address business needs.
