Job summary

Axial is seeking an experienced AI & Automation Manager in New York City to design, build, and scale AI-powered workflows and internal tools. You will work with the VP of Operations and the Business Operations Lead to shape Axial's AI strategy, deliver durable automation across GTM, ops, and member experiences, and drive adoption of evolving AI capabilities.

You’ll spend significant time building LLM-powered solutions using n8n, Claude Code, Zapier, and other tools, integrating with Salesforce,

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience designing and building technical solutions within business operations or GTM engineering at a high-growth tech company.
• Experience partnering with business leaders to identify bottlenecks, redesign workflows, and translate objectives into durable technical solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor).
• Proficient with JavaScript, Python, SQL, Apps Script or similar languages for extending automations and integrations.
• Ability to decompose complex operational problems while balancing speed, maintainability, reliability, security, and user experience.
• History of independently leading complex initiatives from problem definition to adoption and iteration.
• Excellent communication across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and improve AI-powered workflows, agents, and internal applications across key business areas.
• Build integrations and data processes to automate GTM execution and reduce manual work.
• Create lightweight internal tools and dashboards to support decision making.
• Establish AI data foundations and connect models to business data via APIs and data stores.
• Partner with leadership to define AI strategy and roadmap and evaluate new tools.
