Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Product Analytics team. Based in Newport Beach, CA, the role is on-site 4 days per week with 1 day remote, supporting CMD Product Development with AI-enabled analytics.

You will design data models, pipelines, and Snowflake assets, build dashboards, and deliver Python- and SQL-based automation. 3+ years in analytics or data science is expected, with strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in data science, statistics, CS, engineering, math, or related field.
• 3+ years in analytics, data engineering, data science, ML, AI, or related discipline.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Familiar with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, ML, and workflow automation.
• Experience building dashboards, analytics products, or data-driven solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI and analytics solutions including generative AI apps.
• Partner with Product Development Actuaries to translate needs into data, analytics, and AI capabilities.
• Design and maintain data models, pipelines, and Snowflake assets for reporting and AI tools.
• Create dashboards that drive quick decision making.
• Build Python- and SQL-based solutions to automate processes and improve data quality.
• Support AI initiatives from concept to deployment and iteration.
