OMI Specialty Products | Fullerton, CA | Full-time, On-site

About Us

OMI Specialty Products is a leading aerospace supplier with a proud history dating back to 1968. We provide aerospace parts, hardware, chemicals, and raw materials to OEMs, MROs, airlines, and their suppliers in both civil and defense applications, serving customers around the world. Our commitment to excellence, responsiveness, and integrity has made us a trusted partner across the industry.

The Role

We are looking for a curious, hands-on AI Analyst to help us put AI to work across the business. You will turn our ERP and sales data into insight, and build practical AI tools and automations that help our sales, purchasing, finance, and operations teams work faster and make better decisions. This is a builder role for someone who loves data, learns new tools quickly, and wants to see their work used every day by real people in a growing, global company.

What You’ll Do
  • Build AI workflows: Design, test, and roll out AI assistants and agents (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) that automate everyday work such as quoting support, email drafting, reporting, and document review.
  • Analyze the business: Pull and analyze data from our ERP (Quantum Control on Oracle) using SQL to answer questions on bookings, shipments, margins, pricing, inventory, and customer trends.
  • Automate reporting: Replace manual spreadsheets with repeatable reports, dashboards, and forecasts for management and the sales team, including month-end and weekly KPIs.
  • Connect our systems: Help integrate AI tools with our ERP, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel), and other data sources through APIs and connectors.
  • Partner with the team: Work side by side with sales, purchasing, quality, and finance to find time-consuming tasks, map the process, and deliver tools people actually use.
  • Train and support: Document what you build, train employees on AI tools and best practices, and support adoption across our U.S. and international offices.
  • Keep it accurate and secure: Validate AI output against source data, protect confidential and customer information, and follow OMI’s export-compliance (ITAR/EAR) and data-security procedures.
  • Stay ahead: Keep up with new AI tools and recommend practical ways to use them to grow the business.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or process automation; experience in distribution, aerospace, or manufacturing is a strong plus.
  • Strong SQL skills and advanced Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar), including prompt writing and building simple automations or agents.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar dashboard tools, APIs, or Power Automate is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Quantum Control or similar) is a plus.
  • Comfortable with margins, markups, and financial metrics; able to explain data clearly to non-technical people.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, able to manage several projects at once.
  • A team player who enjoys solving problems and works well across departments.
  • Additional languages are a plus.
