Job summary

Omni is seeking an AI Engineer to build and optimize our agentic AI analyst. You will tune agent behavior, measure performance, and add capabilities across our stack to solve real customer problems.

You will work with a team that has deep domain experience and enjoy autonomy to prioritize tasks, ship quickly, and maintain high standards for performance and quality in production systems using TypeScript/JavaScript and AI tooling.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Engineer who will be focused on building and optimizing our agentic AI analyst, giving you the chance to tune agent behavior, measure agent performance, and add capabilities.

You'll be working on a team with deep experience in the field, and you'll have the autonomy to prioritize and solve problems by yourself or in collaboration with other members of the team.

All software engineers at Omni operate across our technology stack to solve customer problems, and our engineering culture is focused on shipping quickly and iteratively while maintaining high bars for performance and quality. We develop with AI and coding agents, but we expect our engineers to know when to trust their agent, when not to, and when to not even bother asking.

About You

• Strong technical and communication skills
• 3-10+ years of experience building production software, proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Strategic thinking and the ability to balance business and product goals with velocity and engineering excellence
• Hands‑on experience shipping LLM systems in production, working on some or all of these topics: agent harnesses, context management, retrieval, eval, or post‑training.
• Experience doing data analysis

Nice to Haves

• Experience building data products and AI‑ready interfaces
• Familiarity with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
