Job summary

State of Arizona - AZDES - DTS is seeking an Apps Developer (SQL / .NET / AI Agent Developer) to design, develop, and optimize AZURE SQL databases and AI agents. The role involves leading database projects, mentoring juniors, and ensuring scalable data systems while supporting Azure App Services and C# .NET applications.

The candidate should have a strong background in SQL, .NET, RESTful APIs, and AI-driven development, with open AI tools experience and Agile-ready practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of SQL, web development and analysis experience (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience building AI agents (must be on resume).
• Proficiency in AI drive development using Copilot/Claude.
• Any relevant professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AZURE SQL databases.
• Lead database projects and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Build and maintain AI agents.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Ensure performance and scalability of data systems using advanced SQL techniques.
• Maintain & support Microsoft AZURE App Services & C# .NET based applications.
