Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Enterprise AI Platforms team. You will develop agent harnesses and platform capabilities that enable AI applications across the enterprise, collaborating with engineering, architecture, and product teams.

You will own end-to-end delivery, including security, observability, and production readiness, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on software development, proficiency in Python (and some

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, with exposure to TypeScript for AI work.
• Experience building generative AI or agentic apps.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate agent harness capabilities used by engineering teams.
• Integrate agents with tools, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Advance test automation and meet non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to application and solution design with architects and product teams.
• Own assets end to end, including currency, vulnerability management, and production readiness.
• Document your work and deepen your expertise in the technologies you own.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
