EY Challenger seeks an experienced AI/Applied ML engineer to build long-running agents and enterprise integrations. You will operate at the intersection of applied AI, distributed systems, and product engineering to manage behavior, tools, and safety across complex workflows.

The role partners with product, platform, security, and evaluation teams to design deterministic, steerable agents and reusable patterns. Travel up to 50% with hybrid office capability in the US.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7–9 years of experience in software or applied machine-learning engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on evidence of shipping large-language-model applications, agents, or complex model-driven workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Choose the right execution model for agents and workflows.
• Build dependable tools and interfaces with clear contracts.
• Engineer agent behavior including planning, routing, delegation, and handoffs.
• Create durable context combining instructions, user state, memory, retrieval and environment feedback.
• Bound agent authority with scoped identities and budgets.
• Evaluate complete trajectories with tests, verified outcomes and recovery.
• Operate long-running execution with durable state, checkpointing and safe retries.
• Make behavior observable with end-to-end tracing and replay.
• Protect user control with clear intervention points for inspection and resume of work.
• Build shared capability by partnering across teams and publishing reusable patterns.
