Job summary

Hiebing in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an AI Agent Developer Intern who is curious, motivated, and innovative. You will help design, build, test, and optimize AI-powered agents, copilots, and workflow automations in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

This internship offers hands-on experience with LLMs, APIs, and low-code tools, in a hybrid environment. Start date August 2026 and end December 2026, paid $15 per hour, with up to 40 hours per week (flexible for part-time).

Qualifications

• Basic programming experience in JavaScript and/or Python.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Basic programming experience in JavaScriptand/orPython
• Basic understanding of MCP and A2A protocols for AI agents
• Familiarity with APIs, data structures,andweb technologies
• Proficiencywith Git,npmand modern development workflows
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking skills
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning emerging technologies and growing in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Strong communicationskills with the ability toidentifyworkflow challenges, pain points, and automation opportunities through stakeholder discussions

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Azure Functions, or similar workflow tools
• Demonstrated ability to build AI projects, chatbots, assistants, and workflow automations
• Experience designing AI agent personas, roles, knowledge domains, and guardrails
• Expertisein matching AI models to specific tasks, workflows, and business objectives
• Hands-on experience with Next.js, React,VercelChat SDKandAI Gateway
• Proficiencywith modern AI-assisted development tools and environments
• Familiarity with agent orchestration and iterative workflow frameworks, such asLangChain
