Job summary

Lennar in Houston seeks an AI Agent Developer to design, build, and deploy intelligent agents that transform corporate workflows. You will partner with product owners, engineers, and leaders to turn real-world processes into scalable AI solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software/AI, with strong Python/JavaScript, LLMs, and cloud experience. The role blends strategy with hands-on implementation in a dynamic homebuilder environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–4+ years in software engineering, AI/ML development, or automation; at least 1 year with LLMs/conversational AI.
• Consultative mindset with ability to map business workflows to AI solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to demo and translate requirements for non-technical audiences.
• Strong programming in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript; production-ready applications.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex enterprise datasets; familiarity with enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Embed with corporate function teams to map workflows and scope high-impact AI use cases.
• Act as AI advisor to function leaders, framing trade-offs and risks in business terms.
• Design agent personas, roles, and workflows including decision logic and escalation paths.
• Build and configure AI agents using LLMs, retrieval-augmented frameworks, and APIs.
• Develop prompt engineering, memory management, and monitoring for reliable agents.
• Deliver prototypes and live demos, incorporating rapid business feedback.
• Test and validate agent behavior under real-world conditions with simulations.
• Deploy agents to production with observability, versioning, and drift detection.
• Maintain agents post-deployment with prompts tuning and workflow improvements.
• Ensure governance, security, and ethical considerations in agent design.
