Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Account Director for the OpenAI for Government team to guide a portfolio of strategic state and local government accounts. You will lead AI adoption efforts across agencies, collaborate with Researchers, Engineers, and Solution Strategists, and drive revenue growth through consumption-based models.

The role requires deep government sector knowledge, proven leadership in complex deals, and regular travel.

Qualifications

• Experience selling enterprise tech to state and local government.
• Proven ability to exceed multi-year revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key state and local government accounts.
• Lead AI adoption journeys from consideration to deployment.
• Collaborate with Solutions and Research to execute complex programs.
• Own and manage a consumption revenue target and forecast.
• Build executive relationships with CIOs and agency leaders.
