Job summary

Fenwick & West LLP is seeking a KMI Manager to lead the firm’s AI strategy, translating legal workflows into scalable firmwide AI solutions. You will partner with attorneys and paralegals, deepen platform expertise, and drive governance, risk mitigation, and training initiatives.

The role requires a strong legal background, hands-on AI experience, and excellent collaboration and communication skills. This position offers a hybrid work model across Fenwick offices in the United States.

Qualifications

• Law firm background as an attorney, paralegal, or legal operations professional; J.D. or paralegal certification a plus but not required for candidates with relevant law firm AI experience.
• Proven track record translating real legal workflows into AI-enabled solutions by working directly with attorneys.
• Genuine technical depth with AI platforms to understand how they work and to solve problems in collaboration with IT partners.
• Strong project management and the ability to handle multiple initiatives with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys and paralegals to implement AI solutions for matters and drive firmwide rollout.
• Develop deep expertise in the firm’s core AI platforms and apply this to legal workflows and governance.
• Support AI governance and risk awareness with adherence to professional standards and compliance.
• Design and lead a systematic communications and training program for legal AI tools and resources.
