Job summary

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a full-time Asbestos Management Planner to join the DoWEA Team. The role acts as the primary technical authority for AHERA across DoWEA campuses, authoring and maintaining AMPs that govern ACM handling on 21 U.S. military installations in the Pacific region, including Honolulu, HI.

Qualifications include an active EPA/AHERA certification, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least five years of experience in AMPs for educational facilities. U.S.

Qualifications

• Active EPA/AHERA Asbestos Management Planner certification (40 CFR Part 763).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Author, revise, and sign comprehensive Asbestos Management Plans (AMPs) for DoWEA facilities.
• Direct and support AHERA Inspectors; evaluate lab data to determine response actions.
• Review bulk sampling data and validate TEM analyses; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and finalize 30-Day AHERA Inspections and Final AHERA Reports within regulatory timelines.
• Conduct annual regulatory review and support updates to AMPs for new/renovated buildings.
