Job summary

Vivid Machines seeks an AgTech Field Technician to support customers by collecting fruit growth data, deploying the Vivid X system in the field, and analyzing results to help growers improve operations.

You will travel to orchards in the Yakima/Tri-Cities region and perform in-field data capture, with office days conducted remotely. The role blends hands-on fieldwork, customer interaction, and collaboration with our analytics and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of plant physiology and related pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Strong agronomy interest and practical field application mindset.
• Excellent Excel skills for data handling and analysis.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for field travel.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in fast-changing startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out field trials to test technology at various apple growth stages and provide feedback.
• Capture plant physiology images and collect count and size data in the growing season.
• Serve as in-house expert on plant physiology and disease issues and support with meetings and resources.
• Collaborate with data/tech teams to advise on product requirements and customer needs.
• Annotate field data frames to help train the Vivid X system.
