Job summary

Orchard Robotics is seeking a Field Operations Technician to join our team in California's North Coast. You will drive ATVs and operate our AI-powered camera systems in customers' fields to collect valuable data for improving farming efficiency and sustainability.

You will collaborate with the sales team on on-site demos and training, and work with engineering to deploy and test systems that analyze fruit quality and yield across farms. Outdoor, hands-on, and highly autonomous work is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior agriculture or field work experience.
• Comfortable outdoors for long hours.
• Willingness to travel 1-3 hours daily to customer farms and engage with growers in-person.
• Able to lift at least 20 lbs.
• Customer-first mindset, reliable and proactive.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and managing your schedule.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer farms and scan fields with our AI-powered camera systems to collect valuable farm data.
• Drive ATVs up and down the rows of a farm, scanning trees, vines, and plants for data collection.
• Conduct field scouting to collect ground truth data for our AI systems.
• Regularly drive to customer farms for training and deployments.
• Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and on-farm demonstrations for our FruitScope vision systems.
• Engage with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and relay insights to success and engineering teams.
