Vylor, Inc. in Monroe, LA is seeking an Agronomy Specialist to support high-priority testing programs. You will assist with experiments, data collection, and seed handling while collaborating with station staff to meet research goals.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with up to 2 years of industry experience, experience with ag equipment, and a FAA Part 107 drone license. Travel and extended hours are expected as planting and harvest periods occur.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with up to 2 years industry related experience.
• Experience with agricultural equipment (tractors, planters, combines) and on-farm usage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills/experience.
• Excellent personal interaction skills and ability to work as a team member with a diverse group of people.
• Must be capable of doing physical lifting (up to 50lbs).
• Must have or be able to attain a FAA Part 107 drone license.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• No visa sponsorship available for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Set up experiments and perform advanced data analyses with station staff.
• Plan locations and drone flight schedules with agronomy team.
• Collaborate to meet research goals.
• Learn about genetic marker data, biotech, statistics, GPS/GIS.
• Assist seed lab activities: spreadsheet manipulation, seed cleaning, inventory.
• Maintain Monroe team safety and center-wide safety programs.
• Help maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies.
