Job summary

Central Farm Service (CFS) in Tennessee is seeking a seasonal helper for spring planting and fall harvest. You will assist with safe handling of agricultural inputs, load/unload materials, and support delivery operations in a fast-paced farm-service environment.

Responsibilities include performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety policies and DOT regulations to ensure safe, timely service to customers.

Qualifications

• Prefer Class A CDL (will assist with obtaining one).
• Maintain CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Maintain required DOT medical certification.
• Maintain insurability according to insurance guidelines.

Description

In this position, the team member will will be temporarily employed during the spring planting and/or fall harvest seasons.

Possible Duties Include

• Fill anhydrous tanks, and help deliver them to the customers.
• Load seed and chemicals for customers.
• Load and Deliver Fertilizer to customer’s sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedures. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor
• Assist with other duties assigned by the Location Manager

Requirements

• Prefer Class A CDL driver’s license (will assist with obtaining one)
• Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification
• Maintain insurability requirements in accordance with property and casualty insurance guidelines
