Job summary

A regional agricultural cooperative in Minnesota is seeking individuals to operate and maintain equipment for applying chemicals and fertilizers to fields. Candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. Responsibilities include delivering agricultural products and assisting in warehouse operations. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work under various conditions. Training is provided for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver.
• Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test.
• Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Agriculture background preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment to apply chemical & fertilizer to farm fields
• Maintenance of machinery/equipment
• Deliver fertilizer, chemical, water and anhydrous to operators
• Fill anhydrous tanks
• Assist with chemical and seed warehouse activities

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver
• Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test
• Ability to operate tractors, semi’s, grain trucks, loaders, and conveyors
• Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
• Computer and data entry skills
• Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
• Agriculture background preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
• Previous experience preferred, will train the right candidate.
