Job summary

Central Farm Service is seeking a part-time on-site team member in the Mankato, MN area to support spring planting and fall harvest operations. Responsibilities include loading, delivering materials, and performing routine equipment maintenance while complying with safety and DOT regulations.

Preferred candidates hold a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, maintain a valid DOT medical certification, and meet insurability requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or stated in the posting.
• Prefer Class A CDL driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Must maintain valid DOT medical certification.
• Maintain insurability requirements in accordance with guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Fill anhydrous tanks and help deliver them to customers.
• Load seed and chemicals for customers.
• Load and deliver fertilizer to customers’ sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with DOT regulations and safety procedures; maintain CSA scores.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance items.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Location Manager.

Job Duties

Location is CFS Trade Territory

In this position, the team member will will be temporarily employed during the spring planting and/or fall harvest seasons.

Possible Duties Include

• Fill anhydrous tanks, and help deliver them to the customers.
• Load seed and chemicals for customers.
• Load and Deliver Fertilizer to customer’s sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedures. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor
• Assist with other duties assigned by the Location Manager
