Job summary

Central Farm Service in Minnesota City is seeking a temporary seasonal team member for spring planting and/or fall harvest. The role involves loading and delivering fertilizers, seeds, and chemicals, and performing equipment maintenance.

Prefer Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, plus a valid DOT medical certificate. This position is seasonal and duties vary with weather and company needs.

Qualifications

• Prefer Class A CDL driver’s license (will assist with obtaining one).
• Maintain a valid CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Maintain required DOT medical certification.
• Maintaining insurability as per insurance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Fill anhydrous tanks and deliver them to customers.
• Load seed and chemicals for customers.
• Load and deliver fertilizer to customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with DOT regulations and CSA safety standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance items.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Location Manager

Description

In this position, the team member will will be temporarily employed during the spring planting and/or fall harvest seasons.

Possible Duties Include

• Fill anhydrous tanks, and help deliver them to the customers.
• Load seed and chemicals for customers.
• Load and Deliver Fertilizer to customer’s sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedures. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor
• Assist with other duties assigned by the Location Manager

Requirements

• Prefer Class A CDL driver’s license (will assist with obtaining one)
• Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification
• Maintain insurability requirements in accordance with property and casualty insurance guidelines
