Job summary

New Vision Co-op in Minnesota seeks an Agronomy Sales Specialist to promote crop protection products, plant food, seed and other services to area producers by building customer relationships that help grow agronomy sales for New Vision Co-op.

Key duties include executing sales calls, developing farmer programs, interpreting soil tests and making fertilizer recommendations, and supporting agronomy operations during peak seasons, with reports prepared for the Agronomy Department Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS) or higher or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to organize and carry-out sales plans and strategies with agricultural producers.
• Knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software; and Word Processing software.
• Attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
• Develops annual farmer/customer programs that include soil testing, field mapping, product recommendations, timely and accurate application, field monitoring, record keeping, and follow-up calls.
• Executes sales calls with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
• Interprets soil sample results and makes fertilizer application recommendations.
• Services customer’s agronomic needs.
• Prepares reports as requested by the Agronomy Department Manager.
• Expected to help in agronomy operations during the busy spring and fall seasons.
