Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a long-established ag retailer in Eastern Nebraska to hire an Agronomy Sales professional. The role focuses on working with growers to analyze cropping systems and provide solid agronomic recommendations, while delivering excellent customer service.

The position reports to the Agronomy Manager and offers strong compensation with base salary around $80,000 plus incentives and benefits. CDL and applicator licenses may be pursued with employer support.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year Agronomy degree preferred.
• Up to 3 years crop scouting, pest and weed identification, and providing agronomy services and recommendations preferred; college grads with internships considered.
• Good knowledge of eastern Nebraska cropping systems and crop inputs, especially seed brands.
• Experience calling on agricultural growers, listening to their needs, and making agronomy recommendations.
• Precision Agriculture knowledge/experience beneficial.
• Excellent customer service mindset and ability to be a team contributor.
• Willing to obtain licenses (applicator, CDL) with employer assistance.
• Strong computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with growers to analyze cropping systems and provide solid agronomic recommendations.
• Coordinate spray orders, load and mix loads, and assist with seed treatments as needed.
• Serve as the go-to person for seed varieties and agronomy services within the location.
• Support team operations and participate in on-site agronomy duties to keep the business running smoothly.
