Job summary

Heritage FS, Inc. in Goodland, IN, is seeking an Agronomy Operator to deliver products, apply crop inputs, inspect fields, and maintain equipment under the direction of the Location Manager.

This non-exempt role emphasizes safety, accurate recordkeeping, and customer service across our agronomy services. You will manage inventory, coordinate schedules with customers, and follow pesticide label guidelines while complying with DOT standards and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years related work experience demonstrating ability to operate sprayers, floaters, trucks and other equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; Class A CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Must hold or obtain pesticide or fertilizer licenses/certifications as required in states where inputs are applied.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug tests; able to work extended hours and be on-call as needed.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and climb ladders to access equipment and products.

Responsibilities

• Delivers products to customers and coordinates deliveries while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Blends products and applies crop inputs per label rates and guidelines.
• Operates and maintains application equipment; performs minor repairs and assists with servicing.
• Manages inventory with accurate recordkeeping and daily application data.
• Coordinates application schedules with customers and team members using maps and instructions.
• Adheres to safety protocols, PPE usage and DOT compliance for load distribution.
