Job summary

New Century FS, Inc., part of the GROWMARK System, invites students to join the Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Internship at Yankton, SD for Summer 2027. Under location management, you will learn the foundations of agronomy operations, field tech, and customer engagement.

You will gain hands-on experience in field operations, apply crop nutrients and protections, assist with equipment maintenance, and rotate through inventory and ordering processes while building professional

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university and in good academic standing at time the internship begins.
Prefer the ability to obtain a CDL and commercial applicator’s license with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and valid medical card.

Responsibilities

Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
Gains understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
