Job summary

New Century FS, Inc. in Vinton, IA is seeking an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for Summer 2027 under the GROWMARK system. You will train and assist with general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK system and the industry.

The internship offers hands-on field experience, exposure to equipment and crop management, and opportunities to develop professional relationships with FS locations and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certificate and in good academic standing.
• Preferred: CDL and commercial applicator license with required endorsements.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather.
• Willing to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
